TUE 2/24 Calabrese, BITERS, The Connection, ZipGun Bomber, Quiggs at MIDDLE EAST

CALABRESE - Family always forges the strongest bonds. That's certainly the case when it comes to music as well.

Steeped in a hard rock swing, brash punk energy, metallic bombast, and a healthy helping of death rock, these three musicians—Jimmy Calabrese [vocals, bass], Bobby Calabrese [vocals, guitar], and Davey Calabrese [drums]—established a diehard following and garnered immense critical praise outside of the traditional system, emerging as underground luminaries from their native Phoenix, AZ.

Tastemakers from Alternative Press and Guitar World to Metal Hammer, Rue Morgue, Fangoria, and Rock Sound have featured them, while the trio has shared the stage with the likes of Tiger Army, She Wants Revenge, Strung Out, Nekromantix, and more. However, Lust For Sacrilege, sees this D.I.Y. outfit become even more dynamic and deadly.

While supporting Born with a Scorpion's Touch during a West Coast tour, the boys collectively agreed on the direction of what would become Lust For Sacrilege in late 2013.

"We were listening to darker, heavier bands like Mastodon, Danzig, and Black Sabbath, while driving through the mountains of Washington," remembers Jimmy. "There was something about the landscape and the music that reflected a feeling we wanted to pursue. We're from the desert, so the settings of Seattle, Portland, and Salem really inspired us. We decided to get heavier without losing sight of our other inspirations like Roy Orbison and Black Flag."
