Mon 5/7 - Neil Hamburger at ONCE Ballroom - Somerville

Comedian Neil Hamburger at Once
“A brilliantly awful persona of an old-school, C-list
funnyman — the kind with an ill-fitting tuxedo
and an enormous, greasy combover — on a very
bad night. Neil Hamburger toys with an audience’s
expectations (and patience), and indeed his act is
a kind of rude commentary on stand-up comedy
altogether.” — New York Times

TUE 2/3 Bowery Boston Presents: PUDDLES PITY PARTY at THE SINCLAIR

Puddles Pity Party is a band fronted by Michael Geier (as Puddles the Clown). The band also includes Geier's wife, Shannon Newton as the chimp-girl Monkey Zuma. The Puddles character was created in 1999 for the all-clown band called Greasepaint out of Atlanta. Puddles Pity Party is best known for appearing in several viral videos on YouTube since 2013, most notably with Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox. As Puddles, Geier is noted for his distinctive whiteface clown costume as well as his unusually tall height of 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m). Geier's baritone singing voice has been compared favorably with traditional popular singers such as Tom Jones.

Puddles appeared in Geier's "Dames Aflame" showgirl revue after Geier and Newton wrote material for Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, Puddles performed in Aqua Teen Hunger Force's 2010 tour. In 2011 Puddles regularly appeared in vaudevillian cabaret at Teatro ZinZanni.
